Tally was designed to keep your financial records under your control. We do not sell or rent your financial profile for advertising.
Standard receipt scanning with Apple Vision and transaction parsing run on your device. Voice transcription uses Apple Speech Recognition and may depend on the availability of on-device recognition. If you enable or select Cloud AI, the receipt image you choose is sent to an AI processing service to help read difficult documents. Cloud AI is optional and can be disabled at any time.
Your transactions, wallets, goals, and recurring commitments are saved locally on your device via SwiftData. When iCloud is available, Tally may synchronize this data through the private CloudKit container linked to your Apple ID. If CloudKit is unavailable, Tally falls back to local storage.
Tally does not use advertising SDKs or the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA), and does not track your activity across other apps or websites. Basic product usage information—such as onboarding completion, feature usage counts, export attempts, and paywall interactions—may be processed through our subscription provider to operate subscriptions and improve the product. You can disable anonymous telemetry at any time in Settings > App Lock & Security.
If you connect Gmail, authorization is performed through read-only Google OAuth and the resulting token is stored in the iOS Keychain. Tally currently supports Gmail; references to bank notifications describe a user-configured Apple Shortcuts automation, not a direct connection to a bank account.
All financial billing transactions for Tally Pro are processed directly by Apple through StoreKit and the App Store. Tally never receives or stores your credit card details or billing address. Subscription management is handled via your Apple ID Settings.
In accordance with GDPR, CCPA, and Indonesia's Personal Data Protection Law (UU PDP), you retain 100% ownership of your information. You may export all your transaction records to PDF, CSV, or JSON, or permanently delete all local databases at any time in Tally Settings > Data Management.
